Born and raised in New York City, Raboy started his directing career in music videos working with hip hop artists Naughty By Nature, Run DMC, Mary J Blige, and Ice Cube. The relationship with Ice Cube led to directing the feature film Friday After Next, written by and starring Ice Cube.
In 2023 Raboy directed The Mark Twain Prize honoring Adam Sandler at the Kennedy Center for CNN, and was nominated for a DGA award for directing The Mark Twain Prize for American Humor honoring Jon Stewart, shot in 2022.
In 2020 Raboy directed The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air Reunion with Will Smith and the original cast, for HBOMax and Will Smith’s Westbrook Media.
In 2018, Raboy directed Steve Martin and Martin Short’s “An Evening You Will Forget For The Rest of Your Life”, and received 2 Emmy nominations as well as a DGA nomination.
Raboy has directed and produced comedy specials for Amy Schumer, Marlon Wayans, Judd Apatow, Patton Oswalt, Deon Cole, Whitney Cummings and numerous others for Netflix, HBO, and Amazon.
